Use this as a working guide, not a passive read. Skim the sections, copy the frameworks, then connect the advice to a real role, interview, call, or account you are working on this week.
A useful SDR 30-60-90 plan is not a list of motivational goals. It is a sequence of observable capabilities: learn the market, execute the motion, diagnose performance, and take ownership of a repeatable pipeline process.
Days 1–30: Build Accurate Repetitions
Your first month should produce evidence that you can explain the product, identify the right accounts, use the systems correctly, and absorb coaching. Create a one-page buyer map, a glossary in your own words, ten account-research briefs, five recorded opener variations, and a written objection log.
- Shadow calls with a specific listening question instead of passively attending.
- Practice CRM entry until another rep can understand the account history without asking you.
- Ask your manager to score one call per week against the same rubric.
- Track what you misunderstood and how your language changed.
Do not optimize for looking busy. Optimize for fewer category errors: wrong account, wrong buyer, wrong trigger, unclear opener, or missing follow-up.
Days 31–60: Connect Activity to Conversion
Now run the full prospecting rhythm. Segment accounts, form a hypothesis, execute coordinated phone/email/LinkedIn touches, and inspect conversion by stage. Review connect-to-conversation, conversation-to-next-step, positive-reply, meeting-held, and accepted-opportunity rates using your team's definitions.
Choose one weekly experiment—an opener, persona, trigger, or follow-up pattern—and keep the other variables stable enough to learn. Bring examples to coaching: one call that worked, one that failed, and one where you cannot diagnose the outcome.
Days 61–90: Own a Point of View
By month three, you should explain where pipeline is and is not emerging. Build a small territory review with priority accounts, stakeholder coverage, active hypotheses, response patterns, and blocked opportunities. Recommend one messaging change with evidence.
Your 90-day review should answer: What can you now do independently? Where is your conversion weakest? Which coaching changed behavior? What will you test next?
Weekly Manager Scorecard
Score 1–5 across account selection, research quality, opener relevance, question quality, objection handling, next-step control, CRM hygiene, follow-up, coachability, and consistency. Add one sentence of evidence for every score. A number without an example is not useful coaching.
Use this plan in an interview by adapting it to the company's published ramp and sales motion. Pair it with the SDR interview guide and the SDR Job Search Playbook.
